Humans are social beings. Therefore, we need to engage socially to acheive a humane life. Since the outbreak of Covid-19 our social relationships have disconnected as a result of lockdowns and social distancing.

Physical affections crucial for a humane life such as hand-shakes, hugs, kisses and so forth have been oppressed. This resulted in a sense of solidity and alienation in our culture, harming our mental and physical wellbeing. This, in turn, ignited a movement to reclaim peace and comfort during this unforeseeable time, allowing humans to focus on subtle sources of pleasure in our daily lives.

위단은 빗어주는 행위에서 착안한 아이이다. 끌어안거나 빗어주기에 최적화된 그립감과 크기를 갖고있다. 정성스럽게 머리를 빗어주거나 땋아주는 행위를 통해 사용자는 위단과 감정을 주고받으며 안정감을 가질 수 있다. 위단은 항상 가까운 곳에서 사용자를 밝혀주고 사용자의 손길이 닿은 모습을 보이며 지내는 반려조명의 역할을 해낼 수 있다.

Mampfen is derived from the act of feeding. Once Mampfen swallows the marble, it arrives at a chamber after going through the process of digestion. There is a IRsensor at the chamber which can light it up through the digestion of the marble. The users can build stronger bond with Mampfen through this playful interaction.

맘프슨은 먹이를 주는 행위에서 착안한 아이이다. 맘프슨이 구슬을 먹게 되면 소화과정을 거쳐 중요기관에 도착하게 된다. 중요기관에는 물체인식센서(IR)가 있어 구슬을 소화시키며 불을 켤 수 있다. 사용자는 맘프슨에게 먹이를 주고 그 보답으로 사용자를 밝게 비춰준다. 이런 상호작용을 주고 받으며 사용자와 맘프슨의 유대감을 키울 수 있다.

Hatschu is derived from an act of patting. Users are attracted to the pleasant feel of its soft fur. Hatschu can adjust its sizes to the level of the users’ hands when they are sitting down on the ground, sitting in a chair or just standing. Hatschu is always there for the users whenever they want to pat it. Hatschu comforts the user with its soft fur and gentle support of the arms.

하추는 쓰다듬는 행위에서 착안한 아이이다. 부드러운 촉감을 가진것에 손이가는것은 자연스러운 행동, 하추는 손을 뻗고싶게끔 하는 부드러운 털을 소유하고 있다. 사용자가 바닥에 앉아있을때나, 의자에 앉아있거나, 일어나있을때도 하추는 사용자의 손위치에 맞춰 크기를 변화시킨다. 앉아서 하추의 머리를 쓰다듬고 싶을때면 언제든 끌어당겨 쓰다듬으면 된다. 하추는 사용자 가까이에서 팔을 받혀주는 역할을 하거나 부드러운털로 사용자를 안정시킨다.

호픈은 산책시키는 행위에서 착안한 아이이다. 호픈이 산책하고 싶을때는 언제든 사용자가 산책시킬수 있도록 어디든 갈 수 있는 발이 달려있다. 노출된 패브릭 전선을 사용자의 편의에 따라 짧게 감아쥐거나, 길게 잡아쥐어 호픈을 산책시킬수 있다. 사용자가 원하는 위치 어디서든 빛을 밝혀주며 든든한 친구가 되어주는 아이이다.
