(Pain)creas is a geodesic interpretation of the human pancreas. The piece is based off my struggles as a type 1 diabetic, an autoimmune disease that stops the production of insulin in my pancreas so as to metabolize sugar. The container is a sugar pourer that can no longer pour, the sugar solidified into an insoluble block. A pink sugar spoon representing the manual way in which I have to manage my blood glucose.
