Technothlon is the international school level olympiad organised under Techniche - the annual techno-management festival of IIT Guwahati. And I was assigned to design the posters and other publicity material for its 2010 edition.
The poster was designed keeping in mind the context and target audience. It was modelled as a scroll which brought the information to students. I chose it because it was the time technothlon was going international and I thought the poster should radiate certain elegance and an air of sophistication. And the scroll gave it an old, important and elegant look. Information was contextually grouped and special preference was given to maintening proper information hierarchy. Type and illustrations were done to match and reinforce the ancient like elegance of the poster.
In addition, I also did a few brochures for technohlon, including the media brochures. In each individual brochure, I took care to maintain proper information heirarchy, and also made sure information wasn't crammed, especially in media brochures.
