My concept was to create an animation. The objective was to create an animation that portrays a night at a lantern festival.

When I started this project, I knew I wanted to use a lantern design that I had created for the sticker project. I also wanted to have the lantern floating in the animation. So, I created a story board of a lantern floating in the night sky. This storyboard helped me know where I wanted to begin with my animation in Adobe After Effects.

Some of the feedback I got was to speed up the animation, make the fire flicker instead of it creating a smooth wave, and someone suggested that it would be cool if there were more lanterns in the animation to have more going on. I took all of the feedback into consideration and edited my animation. I felt that the feedback I got helped me figure out how to get my animation closer to the objective.

The animation meets the objective because it has features that a lantern festival has. Those features being a night sky and floating lanterns. The lanterns and stars are animated to create a animation of lanterns lighting up the night sky.
