REMO - REMOTE CONTROL FOR STREAMING MUSIC

Today, the world of music has gone digital. With better Internet bandwidth and web applications like ‘Spotify’ it is now possible to stream music on your portable devices like tablets and smartphones. Remo is a display based remote control which makes online music streaming more tangible with smart applications and also includes social networking.
The whole concept of Remo is to bring back the emotion of browsing through an Album art booklet, while listening to their favourite music. So, the device is derived from the proportions of a CD jewel case.
 The bottom of the device is slightly curved to easily pick it from a flat surface. 
The device consists of a processor to process the input and output and a gyrometer to find the orientation of the device. The device also contains a bluetooh/ Wifi for connectivity and a rechargable Li-Ion baterry. A mini USB charging port is kept in the bottom of the device for charging and a microphone is placed on top of the device for recording and finding Tag. The power button is provided along with volume botton on the side of the device.
The base is made of injection moulded plastic panel with a LED display inside. The top most layer is made of clear capacitative screen which is masked with cool grey translucent masking for ¼ th area of the screen.
The initial setup of Remo can be done by loggin on to the web app through  computer or smartphone.
The main controls of the device is provided on left side of the object under the translucent coolgrey masking and right side of the device displays the album art and track information in landscape mode
In vertical booklet view the main screen displays the details about the album.
The manufacturing cost per Remo is estimated to be 49 $
