The head chefs and co-founders of Better Together, Teenola Govender and Geoffrey Abrahams, wanted to express their core belief that good food is better when shared because it has the power to forge new connections.

They have a fantastic dynamic as colleagues in the kitchen and friends out of the kitchen. Their relationship has always been based on mutual respect, good humour and camaraderie. It is evident that they both shared the same passion for soulful, simple food that is packed with flavour. 

With Better Together they devised a menu that played to their strengths, drawing inspiration from their respective cultures. They used family recipes, genuine Durban spices and authentic techniques. Their aim is to build layers of flavour with every bite.
