“At the time when tigers smoked”

Long ago, the tigers used to live across the Korean peninsula, in the same place where today Seoul stands as an example of cultural progress, economic power and high technology. Today, the Korean tigers are just a memory of the domain of man over nature and its elements, and the resulting detriment of the living conditions because of global warming, pollution and species loss. That's when we notice the need to improve living conditions in our cities, developing projects with a view to build a friendlier environment for future generations.

To achieve a true culture of cycling in a city with significant levels of pollution, we have to focus on making and promoting a culture of low emissions, create programs for the purification of air and give status to the rider. This is where BS TIGER stands (BS for blue sky programs, or programs focused on cleaning the air). If there is an improvement in the air, gives the user the opportunity to participate in the process through a cheap, healthy and ecological urban transport, there will be little reason for people not interested in.

The system is driven with cards that store info about credits, ride time, covered route and spent calories, contributing to a healthier and greener culture, because of each spent penny goes to programs related to clean the air.

HOW:

GREEN: Ecological and sustainable project focused on raising funds to clean Seoul’s air and to promote current related programs.

BLUE: Promoting the use of the bicycle as an ecological and economical transport, which also contributes to “blue sky programs” and green technologies, helps to build a cleaner and healthier atmosphere for the Seoul’s people

HISTORICAL: The Korean tiger as a symbol of a city that rises with courage and conviction without forgetting its past. It is also the direct aesthetical inspiration of the project, which is evident in its strong but fine and precise lines and shapes.

HUMAN: because it creates ecological awareness and sense of belonging to citizens; it also participates on the promotion of a healthy cycling culture.
