Roux safran de l'Arbizon

BRAND
Roux-Safran de l’Arbizon is a family safranière located in the Aure valley, on the sunny slopes of the little Jézeau village (Hautes-Pyrénées). It is run by the Roux family (Edouard, Juliette and Basile) originally from the north of France. They moved  to the Pyrénées three years ago.
Nature lovers and attracted by the Pyrénées, in 2008 they had the idea of  growing saffron and in 2011 their idea materialized.
With a farming background and thanks to several internship made in some saffron farmers located in the Pyrénées Orientales, they learned the techniques and the knowledge necessary to carry out their project.
Our saffron is coltivated naturally without fertilizers and pesticides, on the ideal high for saffron growing (900m), giving all his precoious aromas that allow you to add flavor to dishes.

DESIGN

The goal was to enhance the values both of the products, by highlighting the hard manual work that goes into growing saffron, and of the firm, such as respect for nature, organic products, family firm and the high quality of this spice.
The packaging consists of two parts and is designed to allow a perfect conservation of the spice by preserving all its aromas and properties.
The inner jar made of glass protects the product from deterioration caused by the environmental factor. The outer jar is made of cork and a paste of cellulose and air so as to keep the product at the same temperature and thereby maintaining the spice’ features. Furthermore the design of the cork top fixes the glass jar thus protecting it against possible shocks.
Since I found that saffron uses are unknown to most, I decided to create a box of two books containing information about saffron properties, its difficult cultivation, and a collection of recipes from all over the world.
The cork top's design fixes the glass jar thus protecting it against possible shocks.

Made of temperature resistent materials (cork for the top and  paste of cellulose and air for the body) the products are kept at the same temperature and thereby maintaining the spice’ features.
