New Edition: Contemporary Publishing Magazine is a corporate magazine for authors that I conceptualised, designed and produced for 6 issues. The brief was to create a monthly magazine for authors that would be engaging, stylish and bold. Working with a colleague, I came up with the name, mission statement and aesthetic concept, before designing and contributing articles to the first 6 issues.
Each issue has a different theme running through it, with the cover art, contents page and introductory paragraph setting the scene for many of the design tropes that run throughout. I wanted to create consistency in the magazine design from issue to issue without sacrificing the opportunity to give each article a character of its own.
As I don't have a design background and I am self-taught on all of the software, there is a clear progression in quality through the 6 issues, which can be read in full here (I worked on issues 1-6).
All of this work was done while working for Authoright, so the work belongs to them. It is all available to view here.
