JFKL FUROSHIKI DESIGN CONTEST

I have just participated a JFKL Furoshiki Design Contest. My design is using two main elements which is Wau Bulan and Koinobori, which is the Japanese Carp Kites. Usually, we will be playing Wau Bulan after we do the harvesting the paddy and it will be drained and dry so paddy will be a very suitable place to play Wau Bulan. Wau Bulan is representing the appreciation of having rice for us to eat. Koinobori representing the wish toward their kids grow healthy. Furoshiki can be used to pack the bento box that parents prepare to their kids, so with this Furoshiki that I design, the wish and the blessing can be maximize and it will be more blessing toward the people who are going to receive anything with the Furoshiki covering.

Instead of that two main elements, I did use two ornaments which are cherry blossom and hibiscus. These flowers able to represent Japan and Malaysia and they looks very decorative towards the design. After that, I also combined culture of each other countries like putting Japan flag into Wau and Malaysia flag into the Koinobori. The colour that I using mostly is red and white then yellow and blue. These colours are coming from our country flags.
