A tie and dye project
Materials used:
100% Cotton RFD Fabric | Direct dyes | Rubber bands and threads
Process:
Cut the 100% Cotton RFD Fabric into Pieces. For this project, the fabric was cut into 10*10 Inches pieces. Fold and tie the fabric as desired using rubber bands and threads. Now the fabric is ready for dyeing.
Take containers, one for each color. Fill the containers with luke-warm water and mix the colored dyes in desired quantity. Now, dip the tied fabric in the ready dye colors. You can dip different parts of the fabric in different dyes, to get the desired color effects and surface print variations.
Keep this tied and dyed fabric in the sun for 20 to 25 minutes. Now cut the rubber bands and threads. Now open the fabric and allow it to dry.
The result is a beautiful fabric with unique prints!
