Rubra is an airtight composting container convertible to a pot. Made entirely of American
red oak wood.

Rubra has two main functions; On the one hand, it allows storing and generating compost inside and on the other it allows the compost to be poured into the pot to germinate acorns of American red Oak.

Once the dimensions of the shoot require a larger external pot, the transplant will proceed and Rubra will be ready to start the composting process again.
American red oak is the main reference in the educational model of Rubra. Where
all the phases of the circular life cycle acquired by the Red Oak linked to this product
are disclosed; beginning with the collection of the fallen fruit of the tree, through
the germination, evolving to the adult oak, the transformation in Rubra and starting
again.

Undoubtedly, a tangible way to make new generations aware of a highly sustainable species, in a practical and didactic way.

The purpose of Rubra is to internalize the concept of how composting works among children and young people in adidactic, practical and fun way.

Approximately 40% of our household waste is organic matter, mostly of plant origin. The management of this organic matter is presented as a challenge in the near future, due to the great possibilities for its use: domestic composting, community composting, renewable energy generation, industrial composting, etc.
THANK YOU
