For my final University Assigment i elected to produce a band identity for the funk infused indie rock band called On This Day. I had an interest in working in a large format using traditional media and creating visuals that were not synonymous with music. All paintign were produced on canvas using a blend of alkyd oil and oil.

Record sleeve - 20×20''
I produced two 25×36'' paintings, these were used as my final imagery for gig posters. I aimed to make the paintings detailed enough to work in a large AO scale, as well as looking successful in a A5 flyer format. In addition i create a record sleeve for a EP (both Vinyl and Compact Disc format), this painting was 20×20'' but was significantly cropped for the final image. This sleeve had to be consistent in style with the posters in order to create a distince visual identity for the band, that was immediatly distinguishable and that suggested the style of music that they produced.
