September 2020. I decided to acquire a new skill. Embroidery. This is my first finished work. It took 2 month to complete it.
When I saw embroidery done in such style I fall in love with it. It was works of Kate Marchenko, she has more than 300K subscribers on instagram.
Process
This is comission for my dear friend, he had concept in his mind, which I helped him to bring to life.
Process. Study of an eye.
For every idea I choose idea I like most of the times so far I have chosen ideas thats relate to the learning process I have. Then I choose reference drawing that was made with acrylics or watercolor. Next step is redrawing contour of reference to the textile. Then its pure work and dedication to the thing. It takes either 3-5 days of hard dedicated work either you can complete an embroidery during long period of time if you take it like hobby to relax, but its affects final result, mostly upon colours.
For me personally, embroidery is one of the best way to switch mindset, meditate if you will. At the same time sometimes it takes a lot of willpower to start and every time it takes your dedication and passion to it. I`m only in the begining of my artistic way in this field. Although sometimes I have hard times to start, I`m not going to stop, cause of my feelings for the world of embroidery and visual arts in general/
