Sentinels of the scarlet tides

I’m excited to share this recent work with you through my painting “Sentinels of the scarlet tides” I painted this at the weekend, and am continuing to delve deeper into darker themes and use of a warmer more emotional colour palette.

In the period between sunset and nightfall shadowy shapes emerge from the rugged coastal landscape. For centuries they have been present at this time, a time of danger for the unwary seafarer.

They observe from the shadows the keepers of the light, as they prepare for another night vigil. Their bright beacon will soon be visible and all will be well. But for these treacherous moments when the shadows hide the dangers beneath the waves the sentinels must watch over them. They must relay news of unwary travellers who may happen apon these dangerous waters in these moments.

Thankyou for watching!!!!
