(حِبــر في فبرايـــر)
هو تحدي فني على مدار الـ28 يوم من شهر فبراير كل عام. هدفه الأكبر والأهم هو التمرن و تحسين المستوى الفني الشخصي.

Hibrayer

(Ink in February) is an artistic self-challenge during February every year, its greatest goal is to practice and develop the personal artistic abilities regarding Arabic script and type.

خلال شهر فبراير أردت أن اجرب أغلب الخطوط العربية المشهورة والمعروفة، ووضعت قواعد بسيطة لتساعدني(ولكن لم ألتزم بها كُليةً) وهي الآتي

المقروئية: أن يكون الخط مقروء ليس بالضرورة أن يكون سهل ولكن يمكن قراءته مع التركيز والمحاولة

الرسالة البصرية: أن يكون هناك رسالة بصرية مُرسلة عن طريق العناصر البصرية في التصميم

استخدام الخطوط العربية: كخط النسخ والرقعة والثلث وغيرهم (في أغلب الأعمال) لبناء فهم أساسي مبني على التجربة قبل محاولة ابتكار حروفي الخاصة.

ساعدني الكثير من الأصدقاء والزملاء الأفاضل، ممن أعدهم أساتذتي، محمود حسن، عبد الغني شعير، إبراهيم حمدي، مصطفى عبد الدائم، هاشم الحلبي، أحمد مدين، إيهاب الحمزاوي وغيرهم ممن لا أنسى فضله وإن كانت لم تساعدني ذاكرتي في ذكرهم

During February, I wanted to experiment with the most popular and well-known Arabic scripts, I put simple criteria to help me (but didn't adhere to it fully):
1. Type should be legible (readable), not necessarily easy but it's readable with a bit of focus and effort.

2. Type should have a visual message that's to be sent via visual elements.

3. Using Arabic scripts (mostly), so I get the chance to learn and try them, and have a base of understanding and practice before trying to create my lettering (letters).
