Sara Renar is a young Croatian, Zagreb-based musician and singer, who made quite an impact on local mainstream pop-rock scene in a recent year or two, having written her own songs and played them around the country with a really good backing band. She also issued her debut album on domestic Aquarius Records, for which I have designed the cover (soon to be online), while nearly all of the songs are available online via Youtube.
My friend and colleague Dražen Kuljiš and I designed her official website - www.sararenar.com - while I also did 5 illustrations for its homepage showreel. Illustrations take further the concept of CD cover design, as they depict a flying fish (clearly a metaphor) travelling through a surreal and bizarre universe, packed with creatures straight from children's nightmares. But, the end of the road offers an exit - and perhaps, an enlightement?
