Ramen Is Life

Why is ramen life you ask? It just is!
Tying back into my love of all things Japanese, Ramen has got to be one of my favourite foods. Whilst bored one day I wanted to show my appreciation for it by creating a little Illustration!
This one started off with some simple shapes, then I created a custom brush for the texture on the Nori. Following this, I used block colours for everything apart from the spring onions (which was coloured using point gradients.)
Then I added a simple circle in the background to frame the design, then some wavy lines (to give off the feeling of noodles!)
This was just so fun to create and only took about 2-3 hours.
The largest chunk of that time was spent on the font.
