WANDERLUST
An urban intervention project within El Rawda Street, one of the Sheikh Zayed neighbourhood's main streets.
Our plan consisted of four main steps: the installation of pedestrian crossings to allow easy access to an empty parking lot from the other side from the road, converting the extra-wide middle island into a promenade, creating a bus and bike lane, and planting more trees to provide shading along sidewalks.
This project was completed with Ayah Badr for 2019's Introduction to Urban Design course, and submitted to Sylvia Covarino and Christine Benjamin.
