Three childhood friends Ákos Pletrich, Gábor Juhász, Tamás Kovács opened their first store in Budapest, the Buda Bakery, in 2010, where we can choose from quality baked goods and coffees. For them, the secret of good hospitality is the personal presence. Often they serve their guests behind the counter themselves. It was necessary to open the store close to their place of residence, in Buda. That is why they choose the BUDAI name, thus launching the BUDA brand, which has since expanded with Buda Two and BUDAI 3.
After the opening of the second store, they set up a factory with confectioner Ágnes Gyulai, where they make their own cakes, so they are also available in their stores and other cafes too. In addition, they still welcome their guests in a familiar, homely, friendly environment, with specialty coffees, fresh baked goods and a variety of breakfasts, from chocolate croissant to bagel sandwiches.
