The Project
The neighborhood postcard project is a personal favorite because it deals with designing postcards that represent our community through the hard times of the pandemic. Showing appreciation of our homes and surroundings, I chose to trademark my hometown, Inglewood, California by creating Ingleweird. Ingleweird is a brand and symbol that portrays local landmarks throughout the city of champions.
Logo Inspiration
The logo was influenced by local Inglewood street signs that depict a seagull in reference for being close to the coast. The logos typography was inspired by the letters of a neighborhood favorite Charbroiled burger joint, Brolly Hut.
Brolly Hut
The first postcard is the burger location that helped inspire the logos typography. This restaurant is highly favored among Inglewood natives and has become a Inglewood landmark.

This is a three dimensional display created in Adobe Dimensions in order to show a possible booth for these postcards to be promoted on.
Richard's Market
Richards market is a liquor store that is located at the corner in my neighborhood. This mom and pop shop is very convenient to us locals. I wanted to create support for small business such as these to help them battle gentrification in Inglewood.
Richard's Market (Postcard# 2)
To help support this small business I added a simple quote that encourages people to shop locally instead of big corporations, which have become more recent in Inglewood due to the new Football stadium being built.

The Forum
One landmark that brings fame to Inglewood is The Forum. Since its opening in 1967, The Forum has brought great attention and entertainment to not only Inglewood, but to many civilians who have attended an event here.
The Forum (Postcard# 3)
Throughout time the Forum has been home to many events. This coliseum has hosted all sorts of sport events, music entertainment, comedic stand ups, and much more. That is why the quote on this poster advocates is as a source of entertainment.

Hollywood Park Casino
The Hollywood Park Casino is another very well known location in Inglewood. This historic landmark was built in 1994 and has been recently been remodeled. The Casino was also home to a horse racetrack and very popular when it first opened.

This illustration shows how lively the casino is. The colors bring out the excitement and fun of the casino. The set up of the Hollywood Park is very inviting and and luring.
