OXYLON by Bioteos.
Concerned about current environmental and health issues, Bioteos aims to combine nature and technology in the service of humanity.

They have developed OXYLON, a carbon sink based on the immense potential of microalgae in order to purify the air.

Their modules have been specially designed for interior spaces that constantly welcome people, such as the metro, schools, offices, etc.
Heavily inspired by nature.
While the internal processes are confidential for the time being, it functions by letting in the polluted air through the top vent, processing it using the properties of micro-algae and then letting it out through the vents beneath.
BRIEF.
The brief of my job for this project was to re-design the Oxylon to adapt it for the Lille metro system. The goal was to retain some identity from their current Oxylon product, but reach a more modern shape which has a more deliberate purpose.
Abstractions of nature.
We started to explore more with “TOTEM” shapes. The size of the product was estimated at a minimum hight of 2.5 meters. The product was also supposed to be against a wall so it was important to have an interesting and purposeful front view.
I started to experiement with shapes that were abstractions of nature. Finally we ar- rived at a shape that the client could visualize being expressive of their brand.

Adapting the final design for
the office setting.
Due to the product having a premium look and CMF, the client was hopeful that the product could also be adapted to the office setting. The goal was thus to create the visuals to convey the product in an office setting.
THANK YOU.
