Before my then-fiancee, now-wife moved in with me, she had a beautiful vintage-type oil lamp at her rented place. Years ago, when I was a very much beginner, I challenged myself to model it in all details. The result was an extremely high-poly thing (~1M faces) with some very bad materials.

These days I recovered the model, and thought it’d make a good training piece for making materials with Substance Painter. I used lots of SP’s factory grunge maps and generators, but also some of my own textures. Rendered with Blender Cycles.
