This image was inspired by Corrie White, a photographer who specialises in water droplet photography. I did this shoot by setting up in a blacked out room using only my camera flash as the source of light, i then used a pipet to drop water into a basin. This shoot was extremely difficult and took a few attempts to master, however after practice i managed to capture a few good images. I favour this picture in particular as i found it to be successful in capturing water droplets with a good level of clarity and precision. I used photoshop to edit the image and enhance the ripples and add colour to the water such as purple and blue to add interest and creativity to the image.
Milk Bowl
As well as attempting droplet photography using water i also tried it using milk. I found this had a different effect when capturing an image, as the liquid was thicker and therefore didn't ripple like water did. Consequently, this shoot was more difficult in capturing a good quality image that had interest and creativity. I used photoshop to edit the milk so it looked pink; this made the picture more visually pleasing and interesting. This is, however, a more weaker image that came out of this shoot as it lacks clarity and depth of field.
Plop
This image is from the same shoot as the image above using milk. However, this photo was a lot more successful as i was able to capture movement in a clear and precise image. Once again i edited the image using photoshop to change the colour from white to pink as i aimed to have all the successful images looking the same. This image was a stronger photo than the image above as it held more clarity and creativity and was overall a more succesful image
This image was also inspired by Corrie White. I liked this image because it shows clear ripples in the water which i found to be very effective. Once again i used photoshop to add the colours of green and pink into the water, and to enhance the brightness in the edges of each ripple. This image, however, is one of my weaker favourites as it does not display the same level of depth and creativity as the images i have chosen above, however certain features that the image retains still makes it a successful photo.
This photo was part of my milk and food dye photoshoot. I really loved this image as i like the way the green food dye is spread around the elavated water droplet, outlining its roundness and curves. I also enjoyed the way the camera captured the numerous drops of food dye before they hit the milk in a clear cut way, as this displays a strong element of movement. I chose not to edit this image as i felt that the photos clear creative features made it strong enough to be considered successful
