On  International Day of the Girl Child, the charity organisation Plan International Finland wanted to draw attention to online violence that girls and marginalised groups face. As part of the campaign, we created a film to raise awareness of cyber violence and harassment against girls. The film deals with the emotions caused by harassment. It goes through feelings of harassment and violence from the victim’s perspective: disbelief, anxiety, shame, exhaustion - rage. Like the real experiences at the bottom, the arc of emotions culminates in the power of girls. They are not only victims but also active and influential characters.

The script has been co-authored with people who have experienced online violence.

Organisation implemented film and cut-outs in several countries with their native voice over. Here you can listen to the Finnish version.
