The Print Project is a collaboration between Museum Plantin-Moretus and Supercollect. 20 young up-and-coming artists and designers were asked to design a print inspired by the immense collection 16th–18th century woodcuts of the Museum Plantin-Moretus.

I was inspired by the contradiction between my way of working and the way of Plantin-Moretus. As a graphic designer, I always design with my computer. This digital way of working contrasts sharply with the tremendous craftsmanship of the woodcuts of Plantin-Moretus. These woodcuts were cut and printed with immense precision. I try to explore these opposites using a pixel grid. This creates a new composition that is both abstract and figurative.
