Brief: Design a product that uses 3D printing processes.
Result: A sustainable manufacturing method that proposes 3D printing alcohol bottles with soda lime glass and dipping them in a hydrophobic coating. The printed layers will allow for weak points all throughout the bottle which ensures that the glass will shatter into small pieces. The food-safe hydrophobic coating will then catch most of the small glass debris, minimising possible harm. This manufacturing method replicates laminated tempered glass which is used to make car windshields much safer than other types of glass.
