Bhima - Vows

Film opens on a young bride getting ready for her big day, putting on her wedding jewellery in front of the mirrror, one piece at a time.

She puts on her jhumkas and turns slightly to see her ears in the mirror. A smile appears on her face and we hear what she’s thinking.
“I promise…I will be heard”

The maang tika rises up to her forehead and she places the matha patti chains (nethi chutti in south) on either side of her head. Her voice says,
“I won’t frame my degree, I’ll use it”

At the mandap, her mother in law removes a long chain from her neck and puts it around Priya’s neck as a mark of her affection. Priya is touched by the gesture.
“I’ll find a place in all your hearts.”

During the pheras, when he reaches out to hold her hand, she adjusts the gold armlet on her upper arm and smiles as she squeezes his palm.
“I’ll be your biggest strength.”

Later, when the photographer asks them to look into each other’s eyes, she sees her jewels glinting in his eyes as he looks love struck. Her voice says,
“Because I can see it in your eyes”

The polkis on her nose ring shimmer, making her smile look all the more beautiful.
“I shine brighter than the stars, don’t I?”
