CATALOGO DEL 32° SALONE INTERNAZIONALE DEL LIBRO DI TORINO / Graduation Project

I decided to carry out a thesis project related to the Turin International Book Fair because I am a great lover of books and the of the fair; my purpose was to create an original product not available on the market, which could provide the clearest and most complete possible image of the Turin International Book Fair along the course of a specific edition.

The Turin International Book Fair, born thanks to two Turin booksellers in 1988, is today the largest publishing fair in Italy, an event that welcomes a large audience every year: writers from all over the world, booksellers, librarians, agents, illustrators and translators; Turin International Book Fair is a unique opportunity to learn about current book production and get in close contact with all those who deal with books and publishing.

Each edition of the fair is characterized by a different theme, the 32nd edition (held in Turin from 9 to 13 May 2019) had as its theme "Il gioco del mondo" ("The game of the world").

I wanted to create a catalog that would highlight the most significant moments, the most interesting meeting and the most prominent personalities who had occupied the halls of the book fair during the 32nd edition, a catalog that contained the texts of the conferences held at the fair, (not available elsewhere) to offer a story, as detailed and clear as possible, of the event.

The catalog was designed both for visitors who took part in it and for those who did not have the opportunity, in a product that can be read after the fair.

The catalog consists of 215 pages and is divided into 10 sections or macro-chapters.

My design work was related both to the study, search and selection of the contents of the catalog, and to everything concerning the graphic aspect.

The illustrations are all entirely digitally created by me.
