This project was developed and completed in February 2021 as part of the Typography I module for a course in Digital Media Design BA.

The Brief: To research and write a designed report of 500 words on a typeface of the student's choosing on a tabloid sized canvas (11 x 17 inches/279 x 432 mm- North American equivalent of size A3).

The Response: As the Swiss International style of design is one of my favourite trends, I decided to do a research report on the typeface that preceded Helvetica and kicked off the design trend acorss Europe in the 1950s and into the 60s and beyond. The colour scheme was inspired by Saul Bass along with the colours of the Swiss flag. The design was also inspired by the Bauhaus movement of the 1920s.
