As well as creating an illustration that displayed my perception of the mutsic, the imagery here is also designed to represent the band themselves, as well as the target audience. Through the use of colour and shape there are metaphorical references to drug abuse.

The image stems from a 7ft x 12ft hand panted illustration I created. The intension was that the clean, concise, even mathematic consideration taken into the imagery of the left contrasting with the lo-fi graffiti style (equaliser influenced) of the lines to the right represents the separation between the bands aesthetic and the scientific and organised approach to music production.

As a continuation of the brief I went on to design a vinyl sleeve based upon the original design but featuring adaptations meant to refer back to lo-fi production methods used within DIY album art.
