Fresh Perspectives on Arts and Gender.
Gender relates to the most intimate part of the human self – identity. The individual identity is in constant tension with the social self, and the arts bring this tension to light – be it through autobiographical elements or by reflecting the situation of larger communities or society.

Arts that stage (in any form) such a sensitive and intimate topic of gender identity resonate deeply with audiences and can lead them to reconsider their vision, their gaze, ulti- mately their own identity.

One of my favorite artists are Cindy Sherman. When I was young like 30 years ago her work was mind blowing. How she used her self in her heart. It make a very deep impression on me like Francis Bacon work. Those two artists are playing with the rules of identity.

Below are suggestions for icebreaker questions:

How come Female artist Still today have difficulties with getting paid equal with men?
Can Cross-gender figures change ours artistic domains?
