I rejuvenated the look and feel of the previous website of the Lafourche Clerk of Court. I wanted to keep a formal approach with the design so I used a limited color palette and kept it simple and structured. Reorganizing the information and services the Lafourche Clerk of Court offers was essential so as to better serve its public by allowing them a quicker and easier to understand setup. Considering that people accessing this website want to get things done quickly, I chose to use icons to both allow the viewer of the website to be able to remember each step needed to take for a process or each item needed to get a certificate by remembering the icon, and also to help them find what is needed faster by scanning the page and noticing the icon first with no trouble. Pictures used are friendly and inviting, and the mega menu allows for easy navigation. Visitors of the Lafourche Clerk of Court’s website will want to come back to the site because it is easy to find the information they seek and a simple answer to their questions.
