Why I chose this topic:
The collaboration of Gousto and Spotify is one that complement one another well as food and music have always been paired together for years. There are 4 topics that I chose to discuss, and each brings their own element to the blog. By including images from Gousto, Gousto Blog and royalty free websites, I was able to capture and incorporate the essence of both food and music.

Looking at SEO:
Through research, I found out that in order to increase webs traffic for Gousto, I had to use certain terms such as ‘music’, ‘recipes’ and using names of celebrities like Ed Sheeran to get my blog to reach maximum number of audiences. The Topics Clusters Model strategy allows me to focus on topics that will help me to make sure people find my website on Google and other major search engines.

Copywriting and Design:
The layout of the blog is set in simplistic way to draw the audiences in and keep their attention. The layout of the pages is simple as they don’t contain too much information nor images as well as having in consistent paragraphing.  The style of writing I have used in informal due to the target audience of being between the ages of 20-33, therefore this style of writing and language will draw them in. Each sub-heading topic has a form of Call to Action (Handley. 2017) and the rest of the information layout is simple and relatable for the target audience with the appropriate amount of information and images. Ultimately the overall design is appealing to the eye and easy for audiences to scroll through.

Theory and the brand and why it’s owned media:
The blog is based about the RACE Model (Chaffey. 2010). In order to ‘Reach’ the audience, I made sure to include all of Gousto’s social media links along the bottom of every page to try and increase the growth of their followers. This achieves the goal of increasing their followers as shown on the Creative Brief (2021). It’s essential to ‘Interact’ with audiences through the social media platforms to remind them of their importance. In order to ‘Convert’ sales, I included a ‘SUBSCRIBE’ option along the top to allow customers to participate in Gousto sales. By creating a blog, I was able to increase the ‘Engagement’ by ‘cementing position’ and further ‘build the relationship’ (Kruse. 2017) between Gousto and their customers.

Another theory I’ve included is within the last sub-heading article. I included the phrase ‘What are you waiting for?’ as part of The Creative Process (Barry. 2020) to ‘challenge’ customers to create the same meal as shown in the article, rather than trying to persuade them to buy or subscribe to something. This blog Is owned media because the companies that own it are Gousto and Spotify as it’s a blog created for their collaboration. They are able to control what type of content is published on their blog and able to release content based on what they think their target audience may want.
