Workshop with P&G and Sterling Brands
This was a project that I did as a workshop with P&G and Sterling Brands. The representatives of P&G and Sterling Brands acted as our client and gave us a project brief to base our designs on. The brand is Essentials and they are a mid-grade paper towel company. The persona that I was designing for is called "The Household Hero." She is the head of a full house and needs a paper towel that is strong enough to clean big messes but soft enough to clean a child's face. She also cares about having a nice aesthetic in her house but she also values the lower price that mid-grade paper towels offer. I was also given this "Beautiful Clean" style board to base my designs off of as well as base designs to go off of. With this client brief in mind, I started designing.
I was tasked with designing the package, shipper, emboss, and interface for this Essentials brand. I wanted to keep the design natural and clean looking, and I feel like this swooshing shape on the package has that feeling to it, like a dynamic cleaning swipe. This experience was awesome and I really got to see what it is like to design for an actual client with specific needs and desires. I learned how to make a brand language and carry it through all the different elements of the over all brand I was building. This was so fun and I hope I can continue to design for brands in the future.
