A recognized expert on data mining and analytics, Dr. Amir Talaei-Khoei has undertaken research and written technical reports for federal agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and the National Science Foundation. An associate professor of information systems at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), Dr. Amir Talaei-Khoei was involved in developing an online executive MBA program for UNR.

UNR has one of the leading online executive MBA programs in the nation, according to the Princeton Review and U.S. News & World Report. The school’s online MBA program was ranked No. 1 in Nevada and 47th in the country by Online MBA Report in 2019.

The online MBA is offered in a format suitable for busy professionals. It is a two-year program with a 12-course curriculum. Each year, students complete three semesters studying two courses per semester, and classes run for 12 weeks. The courses include statistics for decision making, financial management, marketing management, financial reporting and analysis, and information and communications technology in organizations.

UNR maintains strict requirements for admission into its online executive program. To be eligible for consideration, a person must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with an overall GPA of at least 2.75, at least five years of work experience, and a minimum GMAT score of 500 (150 for GRE). Waivers apply in certain cases.
