The San Francisco Olympians Festival Scylla 2014

Here are the various sketches I made before everything came together to make this piece more coherent. And above shows how the pieces came together to make a stronger final piece. I usually use a lot of reference to figure out how and in what direction I want objects and things to face. This can also include lighting and time of day.

And here is the original blocked out background for the piece before I blended and smoothed out everything to push it to the way back. I never really want it to pull too much focus only to add the piece.
