2020 was a year for the history books, so I was immensely honored when The Smithsonian asked me to create an illustrated and hand-lettered full spread for their IMPACT newsletter.

The piece seeks to encapsulate the magnitude of this moment in time, bringing to life the processes in which Smithsonian curators are archiving artifacts from this year—from mail-in ballots to indigenous-made hand-beaded COVID-19 masks.
