A self-set project to create one drawing every day for the entire year of 2020.

This project will showcase a selection of works from "A Drawing A Day", compiled into themes by subject matter and style.

Day 45 & 46: Inspired by graphic arts, I wanted to experiment with texture and pattern using a combination of fineliner and brush pen to create a comic style 3D feel.

Day 275: During October, I created a series of illustrative cat paintings using gouache paint. They revolve around the main cat character in different unexpected yet relatable and often amusing scenarios.

Day 328 & 329: These miniature abstract watercolours were a playful way for me to experiment with bright bold colours and fluid shapes. Inspired by log cabins, forests, mountains and waterfalls- epic scenes in a small scale.

Day 231 & 233: Taking a geometric, mathematical approach to composition and combining this with the realism of the floral watercolours, I wanted to create a balance between the unpredictability of nature and the precision of man-made structures.
