As one of the artists chosen for the Forming Words exhibition, I was asked to design a CD cover for the Un-Convention event at the Manchester Weekender. At the event, celebrating amongst other things the 175th anniversary of Manchester Art School, the Un-Convention guys will be creating & producing a CD in a day! The CDs designed by me, other local artists and students of Manchester Art School will be given away to the audience as part of the event.
The brief was that the design reflects the creativity and innovation of Manchester. So I decided to use paper to weave some familiar Manchester characters into my design as a nod to the textile industry of old and the digital age we now live in.
