SUMMER INTERNSHIP | 2019 |

The  print making project took place as my two month summer internship 2019 for the brand HOUSE OF TORANI .Torani stands for handcrafted luxury inspired by the myriad tales of Indian mythology. Revive the essence of Indian rituals that have been nourished by centuries -old tradions .The brand deals majorly with prints and heavy embroidered ethnic pieces. My project was to develop a prints, for fall 2019 collection. The design process started with taking a look into all the existing products and techniques, hence a clear idea of what the ethos of what the brand is and where the brand is headed was achieved, so as to make sure while developing something completely new, and by staying within the aesthetic framework of the brand. The collection for autumn - winter 2019 takes inspiration from the existing prints made for collection Gulabi Mela 2018. After Gulabi Mela three more highly eithnic and embellished collections were launched , therefore to break the monotony - the final collection of the season is celebrating beautification and intricacy of the elements of nature only through prints . It started off by sketching differnt motifs which were made on Adobe Photoshop . These elements were then assembled together to make a print. There were 2 books which were referred to while making the elements : The Chintz - Indian Textiles for the West and Indian Chintz from the Coromandel Coast .
