To help bring cognitive verbs into the classroom in more depth, I was asked to create a series of flip cards. I ensured that I matched each verb with an icon that could evoke it in the student's mind. I chose bright colours, on-trend watercolour imagery and gave beginner and advanced card sets seperate colour palettes (blue or purple) to make them easy for students and teachers to distinguish.

The flip cards were very well-received in the classroom, with students agreeing that the modern watercolour and minimalistic style certainly made studying verbs more appealing.
