CD packaging design for 'Ανάλεκτα' by Αγία Μοναξιά
'Ανάλεκτα' (The Analects) is the debut album of the Athenian experimental duo Αγία Μοναξιά (Holy Solitude). It's a 6-track abstract ambient album, produced from live experimental improvisations, that were later deconstruted to create the final result. Together with the band, we came up with a unique concept for the packaging of the CD, that visualises the process of creating something structured out of implusive ideas and free expression. In a few words, there is no single cover for this album, but a series of options, that the fan/owner can choose from.
There are 6 art cards included, each one dedicated to a single track. They are not numbered or indexed in any way, so the listener could not tell what track is playing or what this track is about. Both the visual and audio experience is left to personal conception and willingness to be immersed.

Bands logo printed on sandpaper. This is the only clue of 'brand' presence on the outter part of the packaging.
The packaging is handmade, out of recycled paper. The use of sandpaper aims to amplify this special engagement that the packaging requires to become personal and conceivable.
