Griller Pro - Visual Identity Design

GrillerPro is a brand I launched in 2020 to offer grilling supplies to the everyday backyard grilling enthusiast. The flagship product: flame-resistant, non-stick, re-usable grill mats. I created this brand because of the opportunity that I saw while researching potential products to sell on Amazon. I knew that I wanted to sell a product that solved a problem, and grill mats do just that.

For this project, I handled all aspects of visual design, such as creating the logo and designing the website and packaging. I also worked with overseas vendors to bring the product to life and then launched the product on Amazon. It was a labor of love that challenged my design abilities and taught me important lessons I’ll never forget (more on these lessons later).

This project required me to implement skills from a number of different areas, such as copywriting, digital marketing, and graphic design.
After defining the target customer, I created a moodboard/stylescape with images, textures, colors, and text examples that I felt mirrored the interests of the end user. This stylescape was referenced throughout the remainder of the project and helped me stay focused on the customer.
The colors used for the GrillerPro visual identity can also be found while grilling.

Here's how I would describe these colors -
Pantone Orange: Bold. Hot. Flaming.
Green: Fresh. Organic. Down to earth. This green contrasts the bold, bright orange and the deep, rich brown.
Brown. Strong. Earthy. Rich. Deep.
The final logo.

Sometimes I sketch logos out before creating them. Other times, I have the idea in my mind and start designing right away. This was a situation where I didn’t need to sketch out the idea first.

The burger falling together is also represented on the packaging. This brings a level of consistency to the brand. This is also a bit playful and fun; after all, the target audience is young (between 24-36 - millennials).

I will also point out that the logo is not represented on the packaging. This is because the product is sold primarily on Amazon, where a logo on the packaging isn’t as necessary as are key features of the product and interesting images.
