Gousto is a company which offers not only recipes, but the fresh ingredients needed in order to make the recipe come to life. It is targeted for people who want to try new recipes for themselves or even maybe for their families. Above is the flyer that I have created for Gousto to promote making cooking easier and more fun. In my rationale I will be discussing why I have picked certain aspects of this flyer and why I think they work together well. Firstly, I will be discussing my use of imagery to help promote Gousto. As they wanted to push their Spotify initiative, I wanted to find a fun yet creative way to combine the two together, hence why I picked a piano. As we know, the different notes on a piano are known as keys, so by switching out some of the keys with food, it helped me come up with the catchy slogan, “Because food is key”. It gives the audience something to chuckle about whilst also drawing them to pay more attention to the flyer. I also used a variety of brightly coloured foods in order to catch the eye of those looking at the flyer. The target audience for this flyer are for people who enjoy home cooked meals but also want a sense of creativity and fun whilst doing that. People that are looking for new recipes and styles of cooking to try out whilst also trying to find enjoyment and joy whilst doing so. Working alongside Spotify gives their customers an opportunity to do so and brings a new approach to cooking. I added one of the playlists below titled “Bangers and Mash” to give the audience a small insight of what they would be getting from Spotify whilst they cook. As you can see, I added the social medias of Gousto so that if the customers wanted to gain access to Gousto’s multiple platforms they could. I also found it important to add their different platforms such as, Facebook, Instagram and their website as many of their aims for the flyer was to increase interaction between their customers and their platforms and by putting it on the flyer, it promotes them and makes it accessible for the customers, especially as social media plays such a big part in today’s day and age. I went for a simplistic but informative approach when creating this flyer as I felt that having a lot on the flyer could make the customer less inclined to stop and look at it. Having little but the right things on the flyer means that the customer is able to get all the information that they need and access to the right places and platforms.
