Pop ปอป
Pop (more accurately pronounced as Porp) is a Thai folklore spirit, that possessed human host and use them to do evil practices. It said that Pop would devour the host's visceral and cause them to die in their sleep. The dead host looked just like a normal sleeping person with no visible external change.
In academic terms, described Pop as a social process. That is to deny people who are alienated from society or community. The accused is a Pop will be disgusted and expelled from the congregation or village inhabited and noted that this belief only applies to certain regions.
In present days, Pop is a well-known spirit in modern Thai culture. And often refer in films and TVs in both horror and comedy interpretation.
