Documenting the
Stories from the Mountains
in Mcleodganj, Himachal Pradesh, India
Shot from Canon EOS 77D__18-135mm lens

This is a personal project, mainly focusing on the mountains in their glory and an overview of the lifestyle people lead, while continuously surrounded by Mother Nature. This project contains series of photographs captured over a week in Mcleodganj, a small-touristic place in the suburb of Dharamshala, a town located in Kangra district, in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.
Rising sun from behind the Mighty Dhauladhar range, spreading its glow, making the valley look like a golden miracle.
Although, the color green is what comes to our mind when we think about nature, one would find every shade of every color blended together so perfectly, as if it is one giant canvas of an artist who lives, only to paint.
A Buddhist monk sitting at the edge of a cliff, in a beautiful place like this. I wouldn't think he'd be looking for peace, because one who is settled in a place like this has already found peace, and probably even the purpose of life.
St. John in the Wilderness is an Anglican Church dedicated to John the Baptist. It was built in 1852 and is located near Dharamshala, India, on the way to McLeod Ganj, at Forsyth Gunj. Set amidst deodar forest, and built in neo-Gothic architecture, the Church is known for its Belgian stained-glass windows donated by Lady Elgin (Mary Louisa Lambton), wife of Lord Elgin. The Church is under the Indian Church Trustee, Metropolitan Bishop of India CIPBC.

Calling them parkours would be the best way to describe these mountain goats, the way they defy gravity and climb the unbelievable inclinations of the hilly trails, the way they hop from one rock to another, which is not humanly possible, and they do it with such ease, makes us question the limit of their capabilities.
Ending the project with the shot of the Mighty Dhauladhar, standing proud in its full glory, making us rethink the purpose of our existence, if there is any, and its relevance, compared to the wonders of nature around us.
