Logo redesign for Ukrainian professional football club “Lviv”. It based in Lviv -  the largest city in western Ukraine. Lviv named in honour of Leo - King of Galicia-Volhynia. However, in Ukrainian language “Lion” and  “Leo” – is the same word, so Lviv is also known as “City of Lion”. Thus lion is the most recognizable symbol of Lviv. So I decided to use its image for FC Lviv logo.
I tried to design emblem, based on lion muzzle. In my opinion, it can bring more identity for “Lviv”, than heraldic lion which is wide use in football emblems design – Aston Villa, Frosinone, Chelsea, Olympique Lyonnais, Cordoba and many other football clubs use it.
Home and away kits concept refers to the architecture of an old Lviv with its pointed castles, towers and turrets.
Third kit concept symbolize stack of books and based on the history of the first Slavic printer Ivan Fedorov, who worked for a long time in Lviv. Another reference was the view of the center of Andriy Sheptytsky, whose architecture, looks like a stack of books too.
