Pour Over Coffee Maker

PORTABLE POUR OVER COFFEE MAKER
PROBLEM:
I want fancy coffee on my camping trip
GOAL:
Design a pour over coffee maker that can fit into a cup holder or water bottle pocket
SKETCHING
The design assumes point of contact at the cap, reservoir channel, and a lateral switch. The latch was replaced a threaded connection between the stopper and reservoir.
COMPONENTS
Per standard cup holder dimensions, the widest parts of the assembly, such as the mug, are 3" in diameter. The lid is stainless steel and threads into a stainless steel reservoir, which uses a channel for added grip. The components are shown below in descending order.
The stopper assembly threads into the bottom of reservoir which supports the reusable mesh coffee filter. The stopper's design features two perforated surfaces on top and bottom with a gap between them. This gap is occupied by a slider with holes 15° offset from the holes off the stopper.
When the switch is flipped from closed to open, these holes align and allow flow to occur. Unlike the rest of the body components of the assembly, these are made from aluminum for ease in machining.
Simple indicators are used to show functionality. The scarlet switch draws the eye to it's purpose which is denoted by small slots cut into the outside wall of the stopper. These slots show universal symbols for open and closed flow, recognizable without language.
ENVIRONMENTS
The coffee maker is designed for use outdoors and on the go. It's compact design and use of several watertight rubber gaskets make it ideal for backpacking and general travel.
