Rationale
To celebrate 20 years of TATE, the public will be able to get a taste of art through, well, taste. We’ve introduced a new movement in art: a drink selection. Each drink represents a different painting and its associated movement found in Tate’s collection at one of its four galleries. Pop Art: Roy Lichtenstein’s Whaam! (1963) is a Fizzy Citrus and Cherry. Pre-Raphaelite: Sir John Everett Millais’ Ophelia (1851-2) is a Still Elderflower and Rose Presse. And finally, Surrealism: Salvador Dalí’s Metamorphosis of Narcissus (1937) is a sharp Cranberry and Pomegranate.
